I bought a small jar of this to try out for channel cats. Works fantastic, they just won’t leave the stuff alone. I still can’t seem to get it on the hook as good as I’d like once in a while but it still is the best prepared bait I’ve tried.

This is the best bait for catfish! I’ve been using it for years.
The best way to bait up is to give it a good stir, push in the treble hook and then use fingers to form and compressed a meatball about 3/4″ diameter.

Love the stuff. I could spit in the middle of the road and drop some in. And catch a catfish. Only complaint is there need to be more fiber for the guys that bank fis. And need to cast a good ways. Besides that best bait there is for small blues and channels.

I wouldn’t use anything else after tonight! My husband and I belong to a members-only lake. We fish for cat about 3-4 times a week. The last few years, we’ve been lucky to catch 3 per visit between us. I bought Sudden Impact and the Furry Thang hooks. What I’m about to tell you is no lie – tonight I caught 7 cats and got 3 more to the bank before they jumped off/spit out the hook (so I count that as 10 fish caught!) My husband caught nothing using our usual go-to bait. I was catching them within 10 minutes of throwing the hook out. He switched to a Furry Thang and Sudden Impact and caught an 11 lb cat within about 5 minutes. The mosquitos were killing us so we had to leave and were so disappointed. I just ordered some more Sudden Impact and another supply of Furry Thangs because one of my missed cats broke my line and took the hook with him. This stuff is incredible, easy to load onto the Furry Thang, and doesn’t smell all that bad. I swear by this stuff and will never use anything else.

This stuff is absolutely AMAZING. Heard there was good catfishin’ in a pond by my house and tried for several weeks to try and hook into them. Used all the traditional baits; ye olde chicken liver, nightcrawler, chicken, cut bait, you name it. But not one bite. Eventually I got bored of trying and kinda gave up. Then one day I heard of this stuff and said, “Heck, why not?” So I bought the 12oz and headed out not expecting much. Imagine my surprise when literally 10 SECONDS after setting my rod down, I was hooked into a massive channel cat. The bait only lasted about 30 minutes after that, and I headed home with 4 good eating size cats, having released another 8, and having had countless bites. This stuff is hands down the best I’ve ever used and I can count maybe 2 or 3 days out of over 4 years of usin’ the stuff where I haven’t had at least one fish. I will admit that it can be a bit tricky to get on the hook, but other than that this stuff is absolutely KILLER.
